Standout Competitor of the Day Awards:
Senior Sparrer – Ama Adjei
Ama had a hard fight against the National Champion, and Australian Representative at the Oceania Championships – and was winning until the 3rd round! Ama has made phenomenal improvements to her sparring! Great job Ama!
Junior Sparrer – Sally, Heslop
Sally did an amazing job getting two golds and one silver for a total of 4 fights! Such great stamina and performance from our young athletes throughout the entire day, Sally was a role model for all junior sparring competitors. Good work Sally!
Senior Sparrer – Ama Adjei
Harry has been working extra hard during and between classes to improve his technique and confidence in poomsae. His dedication really did shine, winning gold in his division of six. Outstanding sportsmanship! Well done Harry!
A Special Mention to…
Reyhan Waterford
Having competed and coached as well this weekend, Reyhan took upon the extra responsibility of refereeing. We all agree he did an awesome job!
