Poomsae

Our weekend kicked off with a a fantastic poomsae demonstration by National Champion Annette Thompson and Australian Representative Kyle Knowles.
Everyone then got to learn more about technical Taekwondo at a competitive level, with demonstrations of poomsae competition rules and judging system.
Our members learned Elite style poomsae drills, then had the opportunity to perform their pattern in front of their peers.

Sparring

The second portion of the day began with an introduction to the rules of sparring, and a preview as to how sparring is conducted in a competition environment.
Member’s of IMPACT’s Elite A-Group gave a sparring demonstration, using the DAEDO electronic scoring system.
After dipping their toes in the rules, everybody had the chance to try out the new IMPACT chest guards, and have a go on the sparring mats!

Fun!

All our kids, teens and adults enjoyed face painting, food and a jumping castle throughout the day!
The IMPACT Tournament also saw the return of our HIGHEST KICK COMPETITION. Head to the Gallery to check out the awesome flexibility!

Awards

IMPACT awarded one member from each program with Best Mighty Dragon, Best Extreme and Best Challenge of the day. This was such a hard decision with everyone performing so well!
In the end our trophy winners were those who stood out for having an awesome attitude and willingness to learn, in both disciplines of Taekwondo competition.
