Extreme Teens

Extreme Teens – How good can you be?

Our Extreme Teens Program is designed to cater to the diverse needs of teenagers aged 11-12 and above.

We structure our classes based on skill levels:

  • Beginner Level
  • Intermediate Level
  • Advanced Level

About the Program

IMPACT Martial Arts’ Extreme Program is much more than just a physical discipline; it is a journey of personal growth and self-discovery. The program aims to inspire teenagers to surpass their boundaries, foster self-confidence, and instil valuable life skills. The atmosphere is non-competitive, allowing each participant to grow at their own pace.

Martial Arts for Confidence and Self-Expression

Puberty brings significant physical and emotional changes, which can sometimes impact a teenager’s self-confidence. Our program considers these changes, ensuring that our classes enhance self-esteem rather than diminish it. Our uniform, the Gi, promotes equality, diminishing self-consciousness about body shape or clothing and instead focusing on individual growth and character development.

Physical Fitness and Health

Practising martial arts is a full-body workout, benefiting every muscle and bone in the body. Regardless of a teen’s current fitness level, our program is designed to challenge and motivate. Teenagers can push their comfort zones, whether they are already involved in other sports or are just starting their fitness journey with us.

Opportunities for Growth

Beyond the regular classes, the Extreme Program also offers a pathway to earn an internationally recognised black belt, which is a great accomplishment and testimony to a teen’s perseverance and discipline. High-performing members can join our leadership program, enhancing their leadership skills and preparing them for future roles in IMPACT Martial Arts or other areas of life.

The Competitive Edge

There are opportunities for our members to train with Olympic and world champions, an invaluable experience that can accelerate skill development. Some of our students even get a chance to travel overseas and train with our affiliated clubs, experiencing high-performance environments first-hand.

Grading and Progress

The Extreme Teens Program at IMPACT Martial Arts places a high emphasis on continuous learning and advancement. We alternate our focus every two weeks, allowing teens to immerse themselves in various aspects of martial arts. Our grading system aligns with this learning cycle, with a new belt being rewarded at the end of the term to those who have successfully fulfilled the syllabus requirements.

Unlike programs designed for younger children, the grading process for our Extreme Teens is more stringent, reflecting the seriousness and dedication required at this level. This grading is not a mere attendance award, but a true reflection of the hard work, dedication, and mastery of skills. It’s an opportunity for teens to demonstrate their growth and their commitment to the martial art. This rigorous but fair process ensures that each belt earned is a genuine accomplishment and symbol of their progress and perseverance.

The transformation and growth seen in our Extreme Teens Program participants is not just about martial arts skills. It’s also about building character, instilling discipline, and fostering a lifelong love for learning and self-improvement.

Class Duration

Extreme classes are one hour long, providing ample time for a comprehensive workout, skill development, and social interaction.

Martial Arts has a wide array of benefits for teenagers, from improving physical fitness and coordination to enhancing self-confidence and respect for others. It also encourages focus and discipline, traits that can significantly benefit academic performance. Whether your teen is looking for a fun activity, wants to make new friends, or aspires to represent Australia in international competitions, the Extreme Program at IMPACT Martial Arts can help them achieve their goals.
