IMPACTS FAQ'S

Welcome to top-level tuition at Impact!

What exactly is the Impact Challenge Program?

Our Taekwondo Impact Challenge Program is a world-recognized core training course for adults. With us, you'll learn the ins and outs of Taekwondo—punches, kicks, blocks, patterns, and self-defence routines. Gain proficiency in the basics, and open doors to our Elite, Mastery, and Self Defence Programs.

What can I expect from the Novice Classes?

Tailored to beginners, our Novice classes offer an in-depth introduction to the Challenge Program. Guided by senior instructors, you'll learn alongside fellow novices, laying a solid foundation for your Martial Arts journey. No worries if you're a newbie—you're in good company!

Who’s the Challenge Program for?

Our Challenge Program is for everyone. Whether you dream of representing your country at championships or just want to boost your fitness, we've got you covered. Age is no limit; we have no upper age cap and our program demands no minimum fitness level. Remember,

“We don’t stop moving because we get old, we get old because we stop moving!”

Why opt for Martial Arts instead of the gym?

Sticking with exercise often comes down to having clear goals. With the Impact Challenge Program, you'll be part of a goal-oriented, fun, and supportive team. Unwind from the stress of your day, focusing on the task at hand. After just one session, you'll feel invigorated and ready to take on the week. As Napoleon Hill said,

“Do not wait; the time will never be ‘just right’."

Can parents join in?

Absolutely. Our Novice Program runs concurrently with the Mighty Dragon’s program, offering a unique opportunity to embark on a Martial Arts journey as a family.

How long does each class last?

Novice classes run for 45 minutes, while Challenge classes last an hour.

How often should I attend classes?

What is the Extreme Program?

The Extreme Program is IMPACT's specialized program for teenagers. It takes basic kicks, blocks, punches, and patterns from Taekwondo but uses them in a way that appeals to the dynamic nature of teens. The Extreme Program takes Martial Arts to the 'extreme,' teaching Traditional Martial Arts, Olympic style Sparring, basic Weaponry, and Martial Arts Gymnastics via specialized Extreme Patterns and Routines. We also teach practical self-defense, helping teens and parents feel confident in their ability to defend themselves if necessary.

Will I get to kick and jump like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan?

Imagine throwing yourself into the air, completing full 360º or 720º spins, and landing ready for action. The Extreme Teen Program includes Advance Kicking, a fun combination of Martial Arts and Gymnastics. Practical kicks are taught, and if desired, spinning and aerial kicks are taught, like those in the movies.

Will I get to learn to use a weapon?

In the Extreme Program, you will learn the art of the Bo Staff from a Qualified Team Leader. Opportunities to attend fun seminars and extension programs are also available.

Will I get to Spar?

Sparring, like that done in the Olympics, is taught in the Extreme Program. Full contact, competition-style sparring is available in the Elite Program by invitation only. Safety is ensured through proper gear and training.

What will I get out of Martial Arts?

You'll become fitter, stronger, and more coordinated, building confidence, respect for others, and leadership skills. Martial Arts can improve focus, academic performance, and offer opportunities like representing Australia in competitions. The Extreme Program is flexible, fun, and offers a chance to make new friends.

How do I grade and move to higher belts?

Grading rewards commitment, improvement, enthusiasm, and fun. End-of-term Gradings assess skills learned, and new belts are awarded based on performance.

How long are classes?

Extreme classes are one hour.

How many days a week should I train?

Two trainings a week are recommended, but more is available for those wanting to advance further.

Who will be my Instructor?

Led by Master Instructor Danny Crkvencic, an 8th Dan in Taekwondo, the Extreme Instructors are fun, energetic, and internationally recognized, with additional qualifications like NCAS and First Aid.

For the Parents?

During the transformative years of 12 to 17, structured and educational programs like our Extreme Program are crucial. Engaging with our unique combination of martial arts, leadership development, and community involvement, your teen will not only build physical strength and self-discipline but also develop essential life skills. These include teamwork, respect for others, goal setting, and focus, helping them navigate the challenges of adolescence. This balanced and guided growth helps lay a strong foundation for their future, contributing positively to their academics and personal life.

Healthy Social Environment

We provide a positive, encouraging community where teens can make new friends and learn from role models who understand the unique challenges and interests of this age group.

Our Leadership Program empowers teens to mentor younger members, building their own leadership skills and confidence, valuable for future education and career paths.

Personalized Path

Whether interested in competition, self-defense, or simply a fun and engaging way to stay active, the Extreme Program can be tailored to fit your teen's interests and goals.
